Everton roasted by Chicago Fire

BRIDGEVIEW (Illinois): Chris Rolfe and Tomasz Frankowski scored to lead the Chicago Fire to a 2-0 win over Everton in a friendly on Wednesday.
The win against the English Premier League team came on the same day the Fire announced they acquired former Fulham striker Brian McBride from Toronto FC for Chad Barrett, a first-round pick in the 2009 draft, and future considerations.
Gonzalo Segares cross was converted by Rolfe two minutes before halftime.
Everton almost levelled in the 66th when Yakubu sent a shot that goalkeeper Nick Noble just tipped away.
Four minutes later, Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard blocked Peter Lowry's shot, then Frankowski tapped in the rebound.
