Racing Santander 1-1 Sevilla FC

Racing Santander missed a penalty but came back to earn a point in the 1-1 draw against Sevilla.EzequielGaray missed from the spot just before half-time and Racing were madeto pay as Sevilla took the lead through Luis Fabiano's 71st-minutestrike.
However, the visitors' lead lasted only five minutes as Juanjo headed home to rescue a point for his team.
Withboth these clubs having earned UEFA Cup spots through the league lastseason, each was keen to get off to a strong start but they largelycancelled each other out in the first half.
An early foul onJesus Navas gave Sevilla an opportunity from a free-kick, but LuisFabiano fired wide after being teed up by Enzo Maresca.
Momentslater, Ndri Romaric tried his luck with an ambitious shot from longrange which missed the target and it was not until moments beforehalf-time that either team had a look on goal.
That came whenFrench defender Sebastien Squillaci was guilty of felling Racing'sMedhi Lacen inside the area, but the Argentinian Garay's placed penaltywas saved by Andres Palop in the Sevilla goal.
There were far more chances in the second half as the game opened up.
JonathanPereira fired a chance over the bar six minutes after the break, andmoments later Racing were on the attack again, but Mohamed Tchite'sclose-range effort was comfortably held by Palop.
At the otherend, Racing goalkeeper Antonio Tono had been enjoying a quiet game buthe showed he had remained alert as he got down to tip FredericKanoute's effort around the post.
From the resulting corner, Squillaci got up to head goalwards but it was straight at Tono who held on.
Pereiraagain got himself in a good position in the 62nd minute but could stillnot find the target as he shot wide left this time.
Claro Adriano Correia tried to catch Tono unawares with a long-range effort in the 69th minute but the goalkeeper made the save.
Thebreakthrough came 20 minutes from time as Luis Fabiano got on the endof Maresco's free-kick to find the net from close range.
Sevilla might have doubled their lead as Adriano went close moments later, with Tono punching the ball clear.
But instead it was Racing who got the on the scoresheet, equalising as Juanjo rose to head home Pereira's cross.
Correiamissed an 84th-minute chance for Sevilla, but it was Racing who had thebetter opportunity to snatch a winner as Laszlo Sepsi headed wide fromclose range after Pereira picked him out with a cross in injury time.
