[新聞] 車仔為泰利紅牌上訴成功 他將可上陣對曼聯

John Terry will be available for Chelsea's meeting with Manchester United this weekend, after he appealed successfully against his recent red card.

"At a hearing today, a claim for wrongful dismissal from Chelsea's John Terry was upheld," read an FA statement. "As a result of today's hearing, Terry's three match suspension has been withdrawn."

Terry was sent-off on Saturday after hauling down Jo when the Manchester City striker was through on goal. Chelsea, however, argued that Ricardo Carvalho was acting as a covering defender.

Several Chelsea players were incensed at the time of the Chelsea captain's dismissal and surrounded referee Mark Halsey, while there was a long delay before Terry left the pitch, gesturing to City fans as he did so.

"The players didn't understand the decision and it is normal for some to say, 'What is this, what is that?' - but with respect for the referee, not affronting the referee, not bad words," said the Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari after the match. "Chelsea players respect what they [the FA] say to us and that the word is respect."

If the red card had stood, Chelsea would have been without Terry for their meeting with Manchester United on Sunday.
