Honda reveals Insight hybrid concept
Paris, France - Honda has revealed a concept version of its new small hybrid vehicle, the Insight, at the 2008 Paris Motor Show.
The new Insight Concept shares styling cues with the Honda FCXClarity fuel cell vehicle, and provides an early look at the upcomingproduction five-passenger hybrid vehicle.
The production Insight will be a five-passenger hatchback that usesa 1.3-litre gasoline engine, assisted by an electric motor. Whileachieving fuel economy on par with the Civic Hybrid, the Insight willhave a new platform designed specifically for the vehicle.
The new Insight is scheduled to go on sale in Japan, Europe andNorth America in the spring of 2009, with projected annual global salesof 200,000 units.
