external hard disk

my external disk cannot be detected in my own desktop and i try out with my friend and the external harddisk can be detected in their computer. It is my computer problem or what? or because computer do not supply enough power to the hard disk? the hard disk is 2.5" and it can be detected before i install a new graphic card

2 reason only..:1.power supply don have enough power
2.external hardisk already shock...
maybe power supply don have enough power la...because you say your external hardisk can detected before you install a new graphic card...graphic card need very high power...you know,my graphic card is nvidia9800 1gb ram,so i have to chance my power supply from 400watt to 550watt to have enough power for my pc and graphic...

aiya maybe is virus....
try to go to my computer-manage-disk manager
see ur ext hdd is there or not
try to rename the drive normally e: to z:
hope that is not enought power la.... but normal ext hdd not consume lot of power

thanks i fixed the problem after i change higher waltage power supply...is because not enough power :p
