XABI DELIGHTED WITH DOUBLE STRIKE

Spanish maestro Xabi Alonso couldn't hide his delight after scoring two goals in league match for the first time in his Liverpool career and said it was a nice feeling to be top of the league.  
The Reds midfielder also revealed his first goal from a free-kick was something the team had been working on in training at Melwood.
  
"I thought we played very well and it's always nice to score six goals. I was happy to score two goals," enthused Alonso.
  
"The first one we have worked on in training so it was nice to see it go in. I wasn't sure who scored it at first but when Dirk Kuyt pointed to me I knew it was my goal.
  
"We are happy with the start we have made to the season but we know there is a long way to go."
