At the start, Chilton held the lead into Turn 1 whilst Monteiro was able to attack Muller and grab third through the corner and then attack Chilton for the first few laps in his Honda Civic, as the two began to pull a gap on Muller.% v; j0 p7 w, l+ J
ROAL Motorsport’s Tom Coronel had made a great start and was up to eighth from 11th on the grid in the BMW 320 TC, and became involved in a race long battle with Rob Huff’s Münnich Motorsport SEAT, eventually passing him at Turn 7 on lap ten and finished as the top placed BMW driver.公仔箱論壇3 L- a2 P% X- S7 {# u5 N2 T! ]8 g
Alex MacDowall secured the win in the Yokohama Drivers’ Trophy, finishing fourth overall behind Yvan Muller, with team-mate James Nash close behind in fifth.公仔箱論壇0 B3 u f, _( r1 x
Yvan Muller’s lead in the championship is now 151 points over Michel Nykjaer, who drove from 22nd on the grid to 13th but still outside of the points following his penalty for the technical infringement in qualifying.www3.tvboxnow.com0 g) h# C( R, F- B6 |
Muller will need to at least finish on the podium in race two, with Nykjaer not scoring, and pull away by nine points over Gabriele Tarquini to secure the title in the USA today. |
