Man City in talks over Deepdale

Manchester City have said that they have held talks with Preston North End to play their UEFA Cup first qualifying round at the club’s Deepdale ground.
City's Eastlands pitch has a full schedule of summer events, including boxing and pop concerts, and will need time to recover before the start of the new season.
With the tie due to be staged on either July 17 or 31, City have been looking at Huddersfield's Galpharm Stadium and Deepdale as alternatives.
A City spokesman told the Lancashire Evening Post: "Deepdale is a superb stadium less than an hour away from Manchester and we've had tentative discussions with Preston about the possibility of staging the tie."
