Dutch goalkeeper Michel Kuipers has penned a new two-year deal at seaside club Brighton & Hove Albion.
Last season Kuipers became the club's most successful foreign import of all time, as he completed his first ever-present season for Albion taking him to 228 first team appearances.
He bettered the former holder of this record, Denis Foreman, who made 219 appearances for the club.
The 33 year-old is happy to be staying with The Seagulls, and has pledged to help the team fulfill their ambition of Championship football next season.
“It has been a great eight years and I am very pleased to have signed a new contract which will take me to ten years with the club,” he told the club’s official website.
“I am now looking forward to next season. We want to be successful and back to The Championship. I love the club, and love coming to work every day.
"I really enjoy working with all the staff - on and off the pitch - and the supporters have been magnificent. Having their support over the years has been superb,” he added. |
