as usualin the last month many fans have "speculated" on possible ins &outs @ LFC...can be "fun" to play "fantasy footy" and yet much of itfuelled by (impatient) reaction to selection & performances by "newboys"..why play "fantasy" when LIVERPOOL are capable of the REAL thing!...REAL RED Power in depth ...

Dossena & Keane have been prime "targets" ...ridiculous calls from some inexperienced or uninformed fans
for Robbie K to go this coming January dont really require response...

"Professional"REDS will know that Rafa knows best..however players like Lucas havealso come in for "stick" (mind U these "fans" were probably alsocalling for Carra to be dropped a few seasons ago!)..

but now aswe approach "09" (and hopefully League title number 19!) Robbies 3goals in the last 3 matches & Lucas performances @ PSV & @ StJames last sunday have earnt him a reprieve...
only SG arguably outperformed Lucas against the Geordie Bar-codes, and had Given not beenin superman-form Stevie & Lucas would have each had a hat-trick...

Iwould go so far as to Propose we can resurect the "Best MIDFIELD in theWORLD" song, Xabi ALONSO (also putting his critics to bed!) LUCASLeiva, GERRARD & MASCHerano....?

Reina is, over the season,the best in the PL, daGGER, A REVIVED Sami, Skrtel back and Carraprovide the best defence in the League, with Arbeloa proving his worthand young Insua showing maturity and taking HIS chance (with Fabio& Doss. injured) we DO have "strength in depth...anyone doubtingthat should look at the quality of lads in the reserves/academy thatwill soon be "knocking on the door"..

Sunday was an example ofLIVERPOOL footy at its best...Ok, the opposition was cr*p, but alsomade to look that way, anyone bet on us scoring FIVE without Riera,Keane & "our Kid" , and for a "team that struggles to score"...ourselected "striker" Dirk didnt, we looked liable to hit TEN or more(against probably most other goalies we would have!) SG, Lucas and SAMIeach could have had a hat-trick!.

Riera or Babel,  Benny orDirk,  & glimpses of (Torres "understudy") Ngog, so  Rafa has many"possibilities" in attack ...its just possible that both Keane andTorres may have to warm the bench ...could anyone of us have predictedthat and STILL be THREE points clear going into the new year...? ...OURmidfield looks capable of scoring too....

I challenge anyone tojustify "rocking the boat" by buying in a new player, who not only hasto "fit" but to have the right "TEAM SPIRIT" that ADDS not subtractsfrom our second half PUSH for the title...

and (yes I smell a"rat" too!) if the "incident" concerning SG affects him adversely Istill feel we have enough quality in the squad ...in depth ...in fact Iargue we have 18 players or so, that will not only compete forselection by a "dream backroom team" of RAFA & Sammy LEE & cobut have the required MENTALITY to fight all the way...
