Personally I will avoid buying any Onkyo AV receiver again. I purchase NR807 around 3 years ago and sound disappear about 6 months ago. I was told by the repair center that the HDMI card need to be replaced and it will cost HK$2k+ to replace (after 3 weeks from the date I took it to them and hurt my back....). I research on the web and found that this HDMI issue is quite normal for this model (and may be other models too) and there are many cases of break down after the maintenance expires. I also learn that many Onkyo service center offer free replacement if you wrote to them so I sent a email to Onkyo HK on 15 November 2012. They call me within one hour of my email but cannot offer anything. I ask them to check with their head office and they promise to get back to me. Today is 22 January and I have not heard back from them, not even a email reply............

Well... Onkyo AVR is famous with its HDMI issue for many years. Anyway, those impacted customer is only less than 5%... but still a high number... I wonder what take them so hard to solve the issue.作者: bond1025 時間: 2013-11-9 10:46 PM
