Manchester United will again travel to Aston Villa in the third round of the FA Cup. Sir Alex Ferguson's side were this afternoon drawn against Villa at the third round stage for the fourth time in the past seven seasons. United, beaten finalists last season, have won each of the three previous meetings in 2002, 2004 and 2007. The tie will take place on January 5 or 6 at Villa Park. Holders Chelsea were handed a home tie against QPR while 2006 winners Liverpool will travel to Luton or Nottingham Forest. Arsenal travel to Burnley while there are two other all-Premier League meetings with Tottenham hosting Reading and West Ham facing Manchester City. Non-League Havant & Waterlooville, conquerors of Notts County, could face another amateur side after being paired with Horsham or Swansea. Havant and Waterlooville boss Shaun Gale admits he was disappointed not to be pitted against a Premier League club. The Blue Square South side have been handed an away tie against either Swansea or fellow non-league team Horsham after their shock 1-0 win over Notts County yesterday. The Hawks have enjoyed an magical cup run so far - they dumped York out in the first round - and Gale is confident they can maintain their adventure whoever they are up against in the next round. 'It's disappointing, but it's absolutely a winnable game,' he told Sky Sports News. 'No disrespect to Horsham but we would prefer Swansea, you've got to look to the next round, whether it be against Horsham or Swansea we've got a chance. Havant & Waterlooville are in the hunt for promotion to the Blue Square Premier and Gale concedes he will have a task on his hands ensuring his players concentrate on the job in hand when they return to league action against St Albans next weekend. 'We need to get the players back focused, we've got some tough league games coming up,' he added. 'This doesn't happen every season. You get a lot of ups and downs in football and you need to make the most of the ups and enjoy it while you can.' |
