◆簡介：

      CBS警匪題材的新劇《Flashpoint》故事的主角是一隻隸屬加拿大首都多倫多警察的特種部隊，這只部隊的名字叫做戰略反應小隊(Strategic Response Unit)，簡稱SRU。 SRU的角色原型來自於多倫多的一隻真的緊急任務反應小隊(Emergency Task Force)。

      SRU的成員都不是一般的警察，他們有能力做一些普通警察所不能做的事情，包括：“拯救人質，打擊黑幫，拆除炸彈，操作尖端武器，”他們將永遠冒著生命危險去拯救別人的生命。他們往往會採用任何手段在非常短的時間內解決問題拯救生命。

      想成為一名SRU成員，你首先要有多年的在街頭打擊罪犯的經驗，還要經受強烈的體能訓練，以及射擊槍法的訓練。除此之外SRU成員還要有操作尖端武器的能力，包括：“狙擊槍，蛇形攝像設備，機器人，閃光彈，夜視儀和泰瑟槍”。但是最重要的武器，還是每個人的知覺和經驗，能夠應付各種危機所需要的技巧。

      《Flashpoint》最早是由加拿大電視台CTV先行製作，後由CBS看重加入聯合製作。該劇的編劇也全部由加拿大編劇協會Writers Guild of Canada(WGC)成員完成，所以也並沒有收到美國WGA編劇罷工的影響。 《Flashpoint》也是第一部完全由加拿大本地製作並拍攝並在美國主要電視網播出的電視劇集。

      該劇的主演是《美眉校探Veronica Mars》裡的偵探老爸Enrico Colantoni，飾演小隊的頭頭Sergeant Greg Parker。其他演員還包括Hugh Dillon飾演Ed Lane，David Paetkau飾演Sam Braddock，Amy Jo Johnson(《Felicity》)飾演Jules Callahan。
