Brazil legend Zico interested in Newcastle post

Brazil legend Zico has revealed he would be interested in succeeding Kevin Keegan as Newcastle United manager.
Zico: The Brazilian coach left Fenerbahce.



Anumber of big names have been linked with the St James' Park hot seat,vacated by Kevin Keegan last week, and now former Japan and Fenerbahceboss Zico has joined that list.
One of the alleged reasons behindKeegan's departure was the club's use of a director of football butZico, who made 88 appearances for Brazil, has no qualms with the NorthEast side's internal structure.
"The Newcastle job is one that I would be very interested in taking. It would be a privilege and an honour," he told the Daily Mail.
"I've always wanted to experience the Premier League as I believe I could enjoy much success coaching in England.
"Iam used to working alongside technical directors so this isn't an issuefor me. It's normal for me to work in those conditions."
Theformer Brazilian international enhanced his reputation in Europe afterleading Fenerbahce to the quarter-finals of last season's ChampionsLeague and, although his appointment is unlikely to appease the Geordiefaithful, he is viewed as one of the biggest names in the game.
