Bent on target again for Tottenham

ROTTERDAM: A fired-up Darren Bent made it ten goals in pre-season games as he struck the opener in Tottenham’s 3-0 win over Germany’s Borussia Dortmund in Rotterdam on Sunday to help the Londoners bag the Feyenoord Jubileum Tournament.
Bent was on target with a close-range strike after nine minutes at the De Kuip Stadium after a mazy run by Jermaine Jenas, who then fed Brazilian Giovani for a neat second before Adam Smith delivered a rightwing cross for Jamie O’Hara to net the third with four minutes remaining.
Spurs have been busy in the transfer market this summer and are hoping to land a top four finish after recruiting David Bentley for an initial £15mil from Blackburn, Croatian playmaker Luka Modric and Mexican youngster Giovani dos Santos
