Located at the north of the Suzhou Creek and the lower section of the Huangpu River, Yangpu Bridge was completed and open to traffic in Oct. 1993. It looks like a dragon sleeping in the sky. The total length of the bridge is 7,658 meters with its main part 1,172 meters long and 30.35 meters wide. The span of the bridge is 602 meters, with 6 lanes for motor vehicles. Yangpu Bridge, constructed with up-to-date technology, is a double-tower, double-cable, overlapped slant-drawn structure. People generally consider Nanpu Bridge and Yangpu Bridge “Sister Bridges.” |
